It may be necessary to add a group to the default groups included in AutoBracket.
Step 1. While on the Preferences View and the Preferences unlocked,
click the Add Group button in the middle area of the
AutoBracket window.
Step 2. Complete the dialog as shown below. Each field is described below the screen capture.
ID - assigned by AutoBracket and cannot be modified.
Name – is the name of the group and should be something descriptive such as 5th and 6th or High School.
Minimum and Maximum Grades – define the grade range for the group if your tournament is grouped by grades.
Minimum and Maximum Ages – define the age range for the group if your tournament is grouped by ages..
Bracket Type - defines the type of bracket to be used for the group. Select from the pull down list.
Weight Difference – is the maximum weight differential for the group. AutoBracket will point out any brackets where this value is exceeded,
PR Difference – is the maximum Power Rating differential for the group. AutoBracket will point out any brackets where this value is exceeded.
Use All Mats – If this option is selected, AutoBracket will assign an equal number of brackets to all of the mats.
Assign Mats – If this option is selected, you have the ability to choose which mats are to be used for this group. Simply use the Add Mat and Clear Mats buttons to add mats to the Mats list.
Bracket Prefix/Suffix – Defines the Prefix or Suffix to be used for the group. For example,
your Preschool and Kindergarden group brackets may be the A Group. The resulting brackets would be
numbered A1, A2, A3 etc.
Step 3. Click the Save button when all parameters have been set.
