Inevitably, at some point, you will find it necessary to add an entrant to a group
that has already been bracketed. If you are bracketing by hand this is almost
impossible. AutoBracket makes it very easy to add an entrant after
the group has been bracketed. AutoBracket has a built in function
just for this situation. It is called Adding a Late Entry. After the
late entrant has been entered, there are three ways to finish the process.
1. The bracket where the late entry is made is transformed to a different
format and all other brackets remain unchanged. This solution requires that only
the affected bracket and it’s score sheets be reprinted.
Example: a four man round robin now becomes a 5 man round robin.
2. If the late entrant is entered towards the heavier brackets, you may choose to
manually move one entrant down to the next bracket until the end of the brackets
is reached or until a bracket with a bye is encountered. In this solution, all
brackets and score sheets that were affected will need to be reprinted.
3. You may also choose to use the Bump function to move all
entrants down one slot. This solution requires all affected brackets and
score sheets to be reprinted.
Step 1. On the Brackets View with the brackets unlocked,
select the bracket where the late entrant is to be added. Click the Late Entry
button as shown below.
Step 2. On the AutoBracket – Late Entrant dialog, enter the entrant’s data and click the Save Changes button as shown below. Notice that only the entrant’s name, club name, grade and weight are required because the entrant’s power rating cannot be computed at this time.
Step 3. Review the results as shown below.
