Using the Default Tournament

The Default Tournament is a completely blank tournament and is provided for your use in learning AutoBracket. To get started, click the Tournament Tab on the right hand side of the AutoBracket dialog to ensure that you are on the Tournament View.

Next, on the Tournament View, click the Open button as shown below.

On the AutoBracket Open Tournament dialog, select the Default Tournament and then click the Open button as shown below.

Review the settings for the Default tournament. Add your club’s logo if desired (see Adding Your Logo). When done, click the Preferences button or the Preferences tab as shown below.

On the Preferences View, unlock and review the preferences. Change the preferences that need to be changed to match the way you conduct your tournament. For more instructions on setting preferences, see Preferences. When done, click the Groups button or the Groups tab as shown below.

On the Groups View, add your data one entrant at a time or use the Load from File option if your data is in a spread sheet or some other kind of file. For more instructions on entering data, see Groups.

When done, click the Brackets button or the Brackets tab as shown below.

On the Brackets View, you may create your brackets from the data that you have entered and then make adjustments to the brackets if desired using the tools supplied as shown below.

     Move Up       Move Down           Swap           Add Bye           Delete           Bump           Late Entry

When done, click the Reports button or the Reports tab as shown below.

On the Reports View, review and or print any of the reports that AutoBracket makes available by clicking the desired report’s corresponding Show button as shown below.
